A drop in unemployment claims and a rise in durable good orders sent stock prices higher in the short trading session on Christmas Eve. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 54 points, or 0.5%, to 10,520 – its high for the year. Broadcasting stocks were also up and our RBR-TVBR Indices hit their high points for 2009 thus far.
The RBR Radio Index was up 2.893, or 1.4%, to 207.025.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.223, or 0.2%, to 126.427.
