Two significant lineup changes are on the way for the Salem Radio Network and its sibling Salem News Channel offering. And, the moves are directly tied to the inauguration and return to the White House of President Trump.
Starting Monday, January 13, 2025, Hugh Hewitt will be moving from mornings to the 3pm-6pm Eastern slot. He’ll fill a three-hour time slot that has been home of late to Dr. Sebastian Gorka, who is joining the Trump team at the White House.
Gorka will be finishing up a six-year stint in afternoons to become President Trump’s new Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Counterterrorism.
Hewitt will be replaced in the 6am-9am Eastern time slot with Chris Stigall, the morning host in Philadelphia on WNTP-AM 990 “The Answer.” Stigall has been a local morning host on radio stations from Kansas City to Philadelphia since 2006. Stigall has been working for Salem for the last six years as WNTP’s wake-up host.
The programs hosted by Hewitt and Stigall will be simulcast on Salem News Channel, the 24/7 streaming news and opinion television network broadcasting in 56 markets and available on Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus, and Sling TV.
Hewitt’s career began in 1990 at KFI-AM 640 in Los Angeles. He launched a nationally syndicated show on eight stations in July 2000 and moved to mornings in April 2016. Today, Hewitt’s program can be heard across some 450 affiliates.

Interesting that Hewitt is returning to the time slot he left in 2016 when Bill Bennett retired and left the 6AM-9AM time slot open. Hewitt took over Bennett’s old slot.
i think he was on 3-6 pm in the west in those days….
Will Hugh be on WTAX in Springfield Illinois
