Radio GPT Crosses Lake Erie For Canadian Distribution

TORONTO — Billed as the “world’s first 100% AI-powered localized radio content” delivery apparatus, RadioGPT has already gotten attention for its beta test at Alpha Media’s Top 40 KBFF “Live 95.5” in Portland, Ore. via “AI Ashley.”

Now, Cleveland-headquartered Futuri, the company behind RadioGPT, has found a Canadian distributor for the offering: Orbyt Media.

As has been reported across the radio industry’s trade publications, RadioGPT relies on GPT-4 technology and a proprietary Futuri story discovery and social content system, TopicPulse, to create “content that is tailored for local markets.”

RadioGPT takes it a step further by completely automating a station’s spoken word breaks with localized audio content. For “JACK” stations owned by the likes of Rogers and smaller stations owned by independent broadcasters, RadioGPT could bring richer content to present automated programming offerings from Newfoundland to the Yukon.

“We are so excited to be exclusively representing RadioGPTTM in Canada,” said Jennifer
Morrison, Orbyt Media’s Senior Manager. “AI-driven technology will assist broadcasters in
ways they never imagined.”

Tracy Gilliam, Chief Strategy Officer at Futuri, added “Canada is a very important market to us and we’re pleased to partner with Orbyt to bring our capabilities to a wider group of innovative broadcasters.”

Orbyt Media is one of Canada’s largest content syndication firms, servicing 450 stations in 155 markets across the nation and is aligned with companies such as Bell Media, through its iHeartRadio Canada partnership. This has brought iHeartMedia talent including Ryan
Seacrest, Bobby Bones, and Mario Lopez to Canadian stations. Orbyt also represents talent including Alice Cooper and John Tesh, heard in nights at Canada’s No. 1-rated music station, Rogers flagship CHFI-FM 98.1 in Toronto.

Orbyt is also the Canadian representative for Wise Buddah Jingles, IMGR, Reel World Jingles, roduction Vault, Imaging Blueprint, On The Sly, Sheet Happens, Prep+, Mediabase and Test All Media.
