OTT Firm Syncbak Rebrands as Zeam Media

Syncbak, which made a name for itself under founder Jack Perry by building OTT products in the streaming media universe, has changed its name.

Introducing “Zeam Media.”

The new brand, the company says, represents the organization’s evolution into a full-scale media company, from supporting content creators looking to create and distribute live OTT programming to providing brand-safe advertising opportunities at scale.

The NAB, Gray Television, Morgan Murphy Media, and former Northwestern Broadcasting owner Brian Brady are among the investors in the company.

The rebrand follows the rebrand of the VuIT app to Zeam, which came in February and was supported by a $1 million-plus Super Bowl marketing campaign starring John Stamos.

Perry said, “By bringing together our full suite of simplified offerings under one media brand, we are better positioned to enable local broadcasters and other content owners to leverage OTT to the fullest. In this new iteration, Zeam Media will provide an incredible advantage to all of our partners, content creators, and local broadcasters by delivering a comprehensive tool kit to reach and drive meaningful revenue from the widest audience of viewers on streaming.”

Perry is known for his work developing and launching TitanTV, the first-ever web-based electronic program guide with built-in DVR capabilities.
