Objections Fly Against iHeart Emergency Motions

All eyes are on a Houston-based U.S. Bankruptcy Court ahead of what was originally supposed to be a defining day in the past, present and future of iHeartMedia. A hearing scheduled for Tuesday at 9am Central “will be a non-evidentiary status conference regarding the scheduling of further proceedings.”

It could also be a day of tussles for iHeart, Judge Marvin Isgur and a 76-year-old investor and financial analyst who in August led a $1 billion lawsuit against Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. Both iHeart and this investor, Mario Gabelli, late Friday filed lengthy Emergency Motions with the court designed to influence Isgur one way or another on iHeart’s reorganization plan.
