It was a terrible Thursday for many media and technology companies, despite a 71.72-point gain for the Dow Jones Industrial Average. With a 118.03-point decline for the NASDAQ Composite, Microsoft slid by $12.62 per share to $352.83. Apple fell by $18.02 per share to $275.15. Meta was down by $14.93 per share to $542.87.
Media companies weren’t immune to the declines for its tech brethren, with Sinclair off by $1.09 per share to $12.94 and Gray Media slipping $0.37 per share to $3.58. It is theĀ Nexstar Media GroupĀ slide that may have some industry observers jittery.
