WASHINGTON, D.C. — FCC Chairman Brendan Carr has taken aim at a campaign from ABC designed to gain viewer support in its quest to maintain the “bona fide news program” equal time exemption for daytime chat program “The View.”
Responding to a question from MS NOW reporter Arielle Hixson asked during a press conference held after the FCC’s June Open Meeting at Commission headquarters on Thursday, Carr criticized how the Walt Disney Company-owned network and parent of ABC Owned Stations has gone to its audience to submit comments in the FCC’s ECFS in favor of keeping “The View” a pure news show in its eyes.
