NewsOn Adds Eight NPG TV Stations To OTT Platform

NewsON, a free multiplatform streaming service focused on local news content, has added eight new stations to its lineup, thanks to a new partnership with News Press & Gazette Co.


The following NPG stations are now available to stream via NewsON:


  • KION-46 in Monterey-Salinas-Santa Cruz
  • KESQ-3 in Palm Springs, Calif.
  • KEYT-3 (News Channel 3-12-11) in Santa Barbara-Santa Maria, Calif.
  • KRDO-13 in Colorado Springs-Pueblo
  • KIFI-8 in Idaho Falls, Idaho
  • KMIZ-17 in Columbia, Mo.
  • KTVZ-21 in Bend, Ore.
  • KVIA-7 in El Paso-Las Cruces

 

Michael Fabac, Vice President of Content and Station Promotion at NPG, shared that the St. Joseph, Mo.-based company is “pleased to expand the footprint of our local station brands and take advantage of the excellent streaming technology offered by this new partnership with NewsON.”

Similar in concept to Zeam (formerly VUit), NewsON offers live and on-demand local newscasts, free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels, and news clips from from 286 local TV stations, covering 91% of the US population.

NewsON is free to download on Roku devices, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung, Android TV, Web, iOS and Android mobile devices. Additional apps for Vizio and LG are also in development.
