NewsNet Parent Buys Again With Drucker Deal

Colorado-based David and Penny Drucker — active television station owners for decades — have signed off on an agreement that will see its five over-the-air facilities licensed to Ketchikan TV and a low-power TV station owned by their Denver Digital Television LLC transferred to the fast-growing entity seeking to build a group of owned stations devoted to 24/7 newscasts.


 

In twin filings made Monday with the FCC, the Druckers are agreeing to sell the six broadcast TV properties in Alaska to Bridge Media Networks, the NewsNet parent led by CEO Vince Bodiford, who recently appeared at the Forecast conference in New York.

In one deal, the Denver Digital Television-licensed KBLT-LD 32 in Anchorage, Ak., is being acquired by Bridge for $100,000; a 10% escrow deposit is being held by Dan J. Alpert, Esq.

The other involves the following properties:

This agreement is valued at $2.4 million; a 10% escrow deposit is also being held by Alpert.

KDMD is affiliated with Ion Network and NBCUniversal’s Telemundo Spanish-language television network. KTNL was a CBS affiliate until going dark in 2020 and was briefly owned by Denali Media Holdings, a GCI subsidiary. Today, KTNL is a MeTV Network affiliate.
