New Orleans police are searching for four men who robbed Scott Paisant, host of WWL Radio’s “The Scoot Show” as he was on his way to work in the Central Business District the morning of 3/6. Paisant, said he was on his way to work around 3:50 a.m. when he was assaulted and robbed by the men.

Paisant told police that he was walking on Gravier Street when he was approached by four men who had been walking on the other side of the street. Paisant told police that one of the men blocked his path and began feeling his pockets. Paisant tried walking away but the man pushed him to the ground, causing him to fall into the street, Nola.com reported.

“I tried getting away and it was at that point that they started hitting me,” Paisant said.

Paisant said that while he was being attacked by the man, the other three stood around and laughed, adding that he was struck around four or five times by his assailant.

“It was at that moment that I thought, ‘I can’t believe this is happening to me’ and ‘What if they have a gun?'”

Paisant said he tried to defend himself against his attacker by kicking him several times. The man eventually patted down Paisant’s pockets and then took his briefcase, Paisant said.

After taking his briefcase, the four men then ran and were seen getting into a red, four-door car, possibly a Chevrolet, police said.
