NBC's Wednesday line-up repeats and third-place

At 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “Up All Night” delivered a 1.0/3 in adults 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall.  Note that “Up All Night” originals have been adding 47 percent to these next-day “live plus same day” ratings when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results so far this season.


At 8:30 ET, an encore telecast of “Whitney” (1.0/3 in adults 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) delivered week-to-week gains of 11 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.9) and 15 percent in total viewers (3.142 million vs. 2.730 million).  The “Whitney” encore retained 100 percent of its 18-49 lead-in.  Keep in mind that Thursday first-run telecasts of “Whitney” have been adding 34 percent to their next-day “live plus same day” ratings when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results.

At 9 p.m. ET, an encore “Harry’s Law” (0.8/2 in adults 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) filed week-to-week gains of 60 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.5) and 36 percent in total viewers (4.456 million vs. 3.280 million).  From its first half-hour to its second, “Harry’s Law” grew by 14 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.7) and 14 percent in total viewers (4.7 million vs. 4.2 million).  Note that “Harry’s Law” first-runs have been adding 41 percent to these next-day “live plus same day” ratings when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results so far this season.

At 10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall) captured a week-to-week gain of 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.9).  “SVU” built on its lead-in by 38 percent in 18-49 rating.  From its first half-hour to its second, “SVU” grew in all key ratings categories, including gains of 20 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.0) and 14 percent in total viewers (4.0 million vs. 3.5 million).  Note that “Law & Order: SVU” originals have been adding 45 percent to these next-day “live plus same day” ratings when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results so far this season.
