Interep announced a distinguished group of leading national advertisers will participate on a panel, "The Strategic Importance of the African American Market to Help Grow Business," at the ninth annual Power of Urban Radio event 9/20 in New York. The group will include executives from Coca-Cola (Andrea Brown, Director, Media Planning), Nationwide Insurance (Bob Cunningham, Director/African American Marketing Communications), State Farm Insurance (Pam El, VP/Marketing), Lexus (Steve Jett, National Marketing Communications Manager), Wal-Mart (Gwen Kelly, Senior Manager/African American Marketing) and Verizon (Jeff McFarland, Executive Director, Multicultural Marketing). The session will focus on the strategic importance of the 710 billion African American market, and how to most effectively engage this major consumer group.
