The latest Media Monitors Spot Ten Radio chart suggests wireless companies are looking to boost their subscriber totals by year’s end.

That’s good news for radio station AEs looking to get all avails filled just in time for Christmas and New Year’s Day.

New to the Spot Ten Radio chart this week, at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively, are Sprint (with 20,260 spots) and MetroPCS (with 19,838 spots).

The activity comes as AT&T Wireless moves into the No. 7 spot, with 25,979 spots.

This suggests that the wireless category is finishing the year on a strong note for radio.

For the QSR category, McDonald’s is strongest for radio.

On the retail front, JCPenney again flexes its muscle in the battle for shoppers.
