Skechers Struts Its Way Across Spot Television

It’s known by multiple generations for its trendy streetwear. And, to help grow business, it is investing heavily in Spot Cable and broadcast TV, based on the latest data from Media Monitors.


Indeed, Skechers in recent weeks has been a formidable brand when it comes to spot plays at both spot cable and at spot TV, and for the week ending May 19 Skechers comes in at No. 2 on the Spot Cable report.

That’s thanks to some 53,437 spots detected by Media Monitors, Skechers was No. 2 at Spot Cable, coming in just above Tempur-Pedic and behind No. 1 Progressive, which continues to demonstrate particularly strong prowess among auto insurance specialists.

Also of note are new efforts for The Home Depot, Amazon Prime and L’Oreal.

How did Skechers perform in the Spot Ten Television report?

It was No. 1, with some 25,424 spots, making the brand the dominant leader at both Spot TV and Spot Cable — a rarity over the last eight years, based on RBR+TVBR coverage of Media Monitors’ weekly run-downs.

Progressive is also present on the Spot TV report, but efforts from Garnier, furniture retailer Ashley and Olay make it a wholly different run-down of advertiser activity.
