It’s a hip college town between Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., that was Georgia’s state capital for a brief time during the War Between The States. It’s the home of a Class A 3kw FM that in recent times has been branded as the “Star Station.”
What’s next for this facility will be up to a new owner, pending FCC approval.
Debra Baker is signing off on the sale of StarStation Radio LLC-licensed WLRR-FM 100.7 in Milledgeville, Ga., to Labranja Radio LLC.
The buyer is based in Atlanta and headed by Lester Bundrage.
A $140,000 cash purchase has been agreed to, with a 10% escrow deposit being held by Rockwell Media Services.
Rockwell served as Baker’s broker in this transaction.
WLRR is a docket 80/90 facility and signed on the air in 1990.
Milledgeville receives FM radio stations from nearby Eatonton and from Macon, Ga., which is some 30 miles away.
