Media Revenue Growth Fuels Rogers In Q2

TORONTO — For some broadcast station owners, there has never been a more challenging time to operate AM and FM radio stations in Canada than today. Corus Entertainment and Bell Media have each streamlined their respective operations.


For Rogers Communications, the challenges have been offset by largess, thanks to a footprint that extends into multi-pronged asset development, bringing revenue from a variety of sources.

Just how did Rogers Sports + Media, home to its radio and television stations, fare in the second quarter? Growth was stronger than in the highly profitable Wireless division.
