The new year has brought a whole new crop of advertisers to the top of the brand activity report for Spot TV as determined by iHeartMedia-owned Media Monitors. On top? A P&G brand since 1985 it acquired in order to prevent rival Unilever from plucking it themselves.
For the week ending January 4, 2026, Vicks is tops when it comes to spot activity at Spot TV, with some 34,374 commercial air plays detected.
Right behind Vicks is one of the biggest Spot TV advertisers of the current era: Morgan & Morgan.
Then, there’s the newly dominant auto insurance specialist, Liberty Mutual Insurance. Last week, the company was No. 3 by Spot TV airplay, as pharmaceutical brand Tremfya finished with some 28,000 plays.
New at No. 5 is Icy Hot, while big spot advances were seen by Planet Fitness, Ashley Furniture and Nissan.
Holiday-themed and end-of-year charity donations fueled the efforts seen through New Year’s Eve associated with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

How does the Spot Cable TV report compare?
Here, Rocket Money rocketed to the top of the report with more than 103,600 spot plays as Tempur-Pedic took advantage of those who believe a new year necessitates a new bed.
Icy Hot is also new and sizzling at Spot Cable, while Burger King is the top QSR by far at Spot Cable for the week.
