Three months ago, he had been named “Fractional Chief Revenue Officer” at Gemini XIII, a tweak in a role he first gained in October 2023 at the audio media company focused on broadcast and digitally delivered on-demand content and sales solutions. Now, he’s settling into a role as Region President for Dallas at the nation’s largest single owner of AM and FM stations.

Chris Long is taking the post, joining iHeartMedia and reporting to Division President Eddie Martiny, who oversees the Texas Region for iHeartMedia.

As Region President, Long is tasked with expanding advertiser opportunities across the company’s broadcast radio, digital, social and live events in the Metroplex.

“I am excited to have Chris lead our talented Dallas team,” Martiny said. “Over the past 20 years, I’ve seen him inspire and drive growth across some of the most well-respected companies in our industry. His diverse background and leadership, makes him the perfect person to lead the Dallas market.”

Long’s resume includes roles as VP of Sales for the South Central U.S. at SiriusXM, from February 2021-October 2023; and in a similar role at Pandora for 7 1/2 years prior to its acquisition by SiriusXM. From July 2008 through August 2013, he was a sales executive at the former Dial Global national radio network, now within the Westwood One family.

From March 2007-July 2008, he was with iHeartMedia’s Premiere Radio Networks, as VP/Sales for the Southwest Region. Long began his career in media sales at CBS Radio in Dallas, leading the AE team at KRLD-AM and “Live 105.3.”

Long commented, “To succeed in our highly competitive industry, you need two things: great people and premium content, and iHeartMedia offers an amazing opportunity with both, and I am excited to start working and winning with the Dallas iHeart team.”
