NAPLES, FLA. — The publicly traded media company controlled by the family that founded it more than 60 years ago has confirmed that it is seeking a new VP of Operations, after reports surfaced over the weekend that he’d departed.
What does this mean for Beasley Media Group, now that Kevin Rich “has left his position?”
That’s what many may be asking, as Rich departs a role he’s held since April 2022, one in which he strategically oversaw the daily operations for Beasley Media Group’s radio, digital, and live event portfolio, with a focus on growth, profitability, and innovation. “I’ve led turnarounds in underperforming markets, accelerated digital revenue and audience growth, implemented SaaS and AI solutions to streamline operations, and guided key acquisitions,” Rich said. “Notably, I secured a landmark multi-year multimedia rights deal with University of Michigan Athletics in Detroit.”
Before joining Beasley, Rich was Market President and Chief Revenue Officer for Townsquare Media in Albany-Schenectady-Troy, rising from General Sales Manager over more than 10 1/2 years at a group of stations that includes Country WGNA, Sports WTMM and Classic Rock WQBK/WQSH, in addition to experimental GenX brand “Zoey 103.9,” which earned a 0.2 share in the latest Nielsen Audio ratings for the Capital District.
Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Account Manager for CBS Radio in Seattle; as an Account Manager for Citadel Broadcasting in Syracuse; and as an account manager in the WRMF-FM in West Palm Beach sales department, from May 2007-May 2009.
