NEW YORK — It professes to be a company “powering the industry’s most successful live OTT solutions as well as hyperlocal streaming platform Zeam.” Now, Zeam Media has partnered with a provider of AI-driven products for content discovery and media options as part of a plan to increase discoverability and engagement with next-level metadata.
That will come through Vionlabs’ AI technology.
With John Stamos recruited as a brand ambassador and Chief Innovation Officer — serving as the face for two costly Zeam Super Bowl TV spots seen in 2023 and 2024 — Zeam Media has been on a quest to capture viewers with its streaming live content from more than 300 local TV stations.
“To stay ahead, they are always on the lookout for better ways to help viewers discover content and engage with programming that captures their attention,” the company says.
This means overcoming the “hurdle” of attracting viewers to its long-form content. “These full-length broadcasts are packed with valuable material, but they often go unnoticed,” Zeam says. “That’s especially true on social media, where people scroll quickly and expect short, attention-grabbing clips.”
Zeam’s marketing and social media teams wanted to promote their content more effectively. However, manually breaking down shows into shorter, shareable pieces took too much time and effort. Finding the right clip, like a trending moment from a presidential debate or a news segment involving a celebrity, often meant searching through hours of footage. They needed a more scalable solution, one that could automatically turn long videos into engaging, searchable, and easy-to-share segments.
Enter Vionlabs, which took full-length broadcasts and automatically split them into smaller, time-coded chapters. Each chapter included summaries and keywords to boost searchability. This helped Zeam automate the manual and nearly impossible task of tagging large volumes of content. Their media operations became more efficient, with the entire library now easy to search through SEO and internal tools. Teams could also find and share specific segments faster for social media and promotional use.
The result: “snackable, optimized content ready to boost discovery, engagement, and reach,” Zeam says.
