Gayle and Sandra Russ-owned Faith Broadcasting Company has filed paperwork with the FCC to sell an AM. WMTA is licensed to Central City, Ky., which is northwest of Bowling Green, in the western portion of the state.
Richard Benham’s Springfield, Va.-based Giving Hope 2U is the buyer.
The price is $160,000 cash. A $2,000 deposit was to be held in escrow until closing and applied toward the purchase price.
The deal includes the tower, land and transmitter building.
WMTA is a Class D AM transmitting 500 watts day/23 watts night from a single tower and using a non-directional antenna. The station operates on 1380 kHz.
