The Commerce Department reported that sales of new single family homes rebounded strongly in June. That good news put Wall Streeters in a buying mood. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 101 points, or 1%, to 10,525. Broadcasting stocks joined in the rally.
The RBR Radio Index was up 2.110, or 0.8%, to 276.586.
The TVBR Television Index was up 7.703, or 4.1%, to 196.047.
