When it came time for an AM radio station serving Vietnamese-language audiences in Houston and its ESPN Radio-branded sibling to upgrade their automation system, the Gow Media properties opted for a product from Broadcast Electronics. The decision, says Gow, allows its team to create, manage and deliver programming with advanced scheduling, cloud-based recovery and remote access capabilities.

BE’s AudioVAULT 11 is now in place at KGOW-AM 1560 in Bellaire, Tex., and at KFNC-FM in Mont Belvieu, Tex., plus FM translator K223CW at 92.5 MHz in Houston.

Gow Media Chief Engineer A.D. Rigmaiden may have considered similar products, but decided to stick with BE. It had been using versions of AudioVAULT since 2007.

“The transition to AudioVAULT 11 has been seamless,” Rigmaiden said. “The system itself has been a great improvement. The previous version was really good and predictable, but the new AudioVAULT 11 has been incredibly stable and reliable.”

BE President/Chief Operating Officer Rich Redmond commented that the addition of AudioVAULT 11 “puts more power in the hands of the Gow Media team to create compelling content that connects with their listeners.”
