WASHINGTON, D.C. — Intelligent. Transparent. Global. That’s the motto of Semafor, a digital news publication focused on global politics, business, technology and the media.

Among the media stories appearing Thursday at Semafor’s website is a report featuring NPR CEO Katherine Mayer. Speaking at its own “Innovating to Restore Trust in News Summit” on Thursday, Mayer said she is “confident” the public radio organization complies with FCC guides as it pertains to its stations’ underwriting support and prohibitions against traditional advertising.

Also appearing at the event: The FCC Chairman himself, who had much to say about Commission actions probing some of the biggest broadcast media companies in the U.S. while lobbying a fresh missive toward “Big Tech” digital media Goliaths.
