WASHINGTON, D.C. — One of two FCC cybersecurity workshops placed on the calendar for mid-May is specifically designed to educate radio and television station owners, and will feature speakers from the Commission, federal partners and industry experts.
The broadcaster-focused cybersecurity workshop, to be led by its Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau, is scheduled for May 14.
The FCC says the workshop is designed to raise awareness of emerging cybersecurity risks, share and promote adoption of best practices, and highlight opportunities for public-private partnership on cybersecurity issues facing communications providers.
In particular, panelists and presenters will offer practical guidance for leaders, engineers, and executives—particularly at small- and medium-sized companies—to strengthen cybersecurity and improve incident response across the communications sector.
The May 14 event begins at 10am Eastern and is open to the public at no cost. Both remote and in-person attendance is welcomed. To register, please click here:
