LOS ANGELES — Estrella Media may be primarily known for its broadcast television and radio properties, but it also has a Music Entertainment (EMME) division.
Now, that arm of the company led by CEO Peter Markham is welcoming a Director, and a Producer. Each will take key roles that build on their respective history in the Latin music and recording industries.
The 2023 Hispanic Radio Conference is scheduled for June 14-15 in Miami. Make your plans now and be an madrugador. For more, visit http://www.hispanicradioconference.com
Taking the Director position is Gerardo Vergara as music producer Alejandro Garza is in the Producer’s chair.
Vergara will oversee managing the roster, catalog, and business opportunities for EMME, as well as new artist signings and development. Vergara was previously the General Manager of Green Dream, the management and social media company of Regional Mexican recording artists Pepe Aguilar, Angela Aguilar, and Leonardo Aguilar.
Garza will oversee music production and publishing and be an in-house music producer. Garza is the founder of publishing house Arpa Music, where he discovered such regional Mexican acts as Espinoza Paz.
“Adding Gerardo and Alex to EMME is the completion of our dream team,” said Eddie Leon, EVP of Radio Programming and Events for Estrella Media, who also oversees EMME. “Both bring a wealth of knowledge and contacts within the music industry that will help in our development of the next Regional Mexican stars. In addition, they will be instrumental in managing Estrella’s IP from its numerous series, events, and awards shows. EMME will give artists, songwriters, and composers a unique and culturally relevant path to develop their talent, fan base, and culture.”
