On Aug. 21, 2017, first-time broadcaster Pathway Community Radio, led by Sinan Mimaroglu, acquired a Class D AM licensed to Fulton, N.Y., serving an area northwest of Syracuse that includes the college town of Oswego.
The seller was Craig L. Fox‘s Cram Communications, which he has 80% ownership of.
For Pathway, control of the company was also held by Fox. Now, Mimaroglu is relinquishing his stake in this AM, and handing it to another Fox-controlled entity.
In an agreement struck Sept. 20, Fox confirms that his Foxfur Communications is acquiring WOSW-AM 1300 in Fulton.
The station had been a FOX Sports Radio affiliate, and is presently reportedly silent.
Foxfur is paying Pathway $25,000 for the property to come back to Fox, via Foxfur.
A $500 deposit has been made to Pathway by Foxfur, an 80/20 partnership that sees majority interest held by Samuel J. Furco Jr. — identical to that of Cram.
WOSW-AM will be formally paired with WOLF-FM in Baldwinsville, N.Y.
Cram, once WOSW’s licensee, is the licensee of WSIV-AM in East Syracuse.
Meanwhile, WOLF Radio Inc. is 100% controlled by Fox and is comprised of WFBL-AM & WOLF-AM in Syracuse, WMBO-AM in Auburn and WMVN-FM in Sylvan Beach, N.Y.
Fox is also 100% owner of Renard Communications, owner of WSEN-FM in Mexico, N.Y.
