Urban One on April 7 shared that, in connection with the preparation of its financial statements for 2022, company management, in consultation with its independent registered public accounting firm, re-evaluated is accounting for the valuation of its investment interest in MGM National Harbor. After further review, an adjustment to Urban One financial statements as of January 1, 2021 are needed.

In Q1, the company formerly known as Entercom reported mixed results: the audio content creation and distribution company's revenue surpassed analysts' forecasts, but its earnings per share loss was wider than what they predicted by 2 cents. That led one analyst to ask the CEO and CFO of Audacy some tough questions on its quarterly earnings call.

For the second quarter of 2023, the company is projecting total revenue to decline between 5% and 7% year-over-year. That's the downbeat forecast from Salem Media Group, which swung to a net loss in Q1 2022 and missed analysts' EPS estimates.

Eduardo Caballero enjoyed a long and prosperous career in both U.S. Hispanic radio and television, thanks to roles as EVP/Director of Sales of Spanish International Network, the predecessor to Univision, and for his many years starting in 1973 as the owner of Caballero Spanish Media. Investors on Thursday opted to sell their shares in the nation's No. 1 radio station owner and audio content creator and distributor in large fashion. Just after 11am Eastern, IHRT was down nearly 20% in value. At the closing bell, IHRT completed the trading session off 17% from Wednesday.

The top 10 radio stations by over-the-air revenue as compiled by BIA Advisory Services for 2022 has been released. To little surprise, Hubbard Broadcasting's all-News WTOP in Washington, D.C., has a commanding lead over the No. 2 station. That property would be the iHeartMedia flagship Top 40 property serving Southern California.
