By popular demand from an industry less than satisfied with the abandonment of the RAB/NAB-jointly produced Radio Show, and incorporating radio industry-related sessions into the gigantic NAB Show in Las Vegas each spring, the autumn NAB Show New York has emerged as an event of increasing importance to owners of AM and FM radio stations.
Thus, a new Broadcast Content Summit, offering customized tracks for both television and radio, is getting the attention of those looking for a venue expressly for content creators, programmers, talent and station managers.
Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters, the summit is scheduled for Thursday, October 26, and will feature various industry thought leaders and experts. “Attendees will learn how to expand their audience reach, decode audience preferences for content and engagement, master recruitment strategies, optimize operational efficiencies, hone content preservation and repurposing skills and gain invaluable insights into the cutting-edge trends and technologies shaping the television and radio landscape, including Artificial Intelligence,” the NAB promises.
The Broadcast Content Summit rounds out a two-day lineup of programming dedicated to broadcasters. On Wednesday, October 25, the Radio Insights Executive Seminar “will explore the topics that are top of mind for radio’s C-suite and top decision-makers.”
The Radio Insights seminar and Broadcast Content Summit are each open to both NAB and non-NAB members.
“The priority is to deliver strategies and solutions on key issues and discuss opportunities for broadcasters,” said NAB EVP for Industry Affairs April Carty-Sipp. “We launched the Summit to help broadcasters navigate the ever-evolving media landscape, focusing on content creation and insights, but also technology and innovation breakthroughs, recruiting the next generation of broadcasters, audience engagement and so much more.”
