A Latin Christian California Network Expands

In the northern half of California's San Joaquin Valley, pastor Juan Montes has established a Spanish-language broadcast ministry that uses a Class A FM station licensed to Chowchilla, and an FM translator in Hughson, to reach the Modesto and Merced markets, respectively. Now, Montes' operation is adding two additional FMs in the region.

A First Coast Facility Finds A New Owner

From the south side of historic St. Augustine, Fla., sits a broadcast tower that's home to a Class B AM with 230 watts after dark and 2kw when it's light out. It uses an FM translator to give a little "revitalization," too. Now, both are heading to a new owner.

Three unbuilt construction permits for low-power TV stations in Illinois, New Mexico and North Dakota, respectively, are being purchased by Roseland. OK, so most New Yorkers may only know the former Roseland Ballroom on 52nd Street. One Gothamate knows of another, and it's a Vice President at HC2 — the entity selling the facilities.

A Public Deal In Colorado Sees Pueblo Asset Swap

The owner of a Class A FM radio station serving a rural portion of the Rocky Mountains has agreed to assign this property, along with its four FM translators, to one of Colorado's largest non-commercial licensees. To make it happen, this non-comm operator is trading an AM serving the city of Pueblo, along with its FM translator.
