In the northern half of California's San Joaquin Valley, pastor Juan Montes has established a Spanish-language broadcast ministry that uses a Class A FM station licensed to Chowchilla, and an FM translator in Hughson, to reach the Modesto and Merced markets, respectively. Now, Montes' operation is adding two additional FMs in the region.

On Sept. 25, 2017,  a new AM radio station licensed for broadcast at 1490 MHz in Santa Clara, Utah — and an associated FM translator it sought in the FCC’s recent Auction 99 — traded hands. Now, those properties and a second FM translator are heading to a new owner.

Warner Tillman is parting ways with an AM/FM combo that includes an FM translator and no less than four boosters designed to give that FM station coverage of Eastern Washington's largest metropolis.

From the south side of historic St. Augustine, Fla., sits a broadcast tower that's home to a Class B AM with 230 watts after dark and 2kw when it's light out. It uses an FM translator to give a little "revitalization," too. Now, both are heading to a new owner.

Three unbuilt construction permits for low-power TV stations in Illinois, New Mexico and North Dakota, respectively, are being purchased by Roseland. OK, so most New Yorkers may only know the former Roseland Ballroom on 52nd Street. One Gothamate knows of another, and it's a Vice President at HC2 — the entity selling the facilities.

On Dec. 6, 2020, the sole owner of an AM/FM combo and an FM translator serving a portion of the Norfolk DMA passed away. Now, paperwork is being filed with the Commission that will formally transfer ownership of the facilities to the executrix of his estate.

A licensee 51% owned by the corporate director of sales for Earls Family Broadcasting from 2004-2010 and 49% owned by a former U.S. presidential candidate and syndicated talk show host is dissolving. The result? New Directions Broadcast Group will now be fully owned by Mike Huckabee.

In Northwest Pennsylvania and along Florida's Suncoast region, the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine has become known as a purveyor of commercial-free Oldies radio. Now, it is bolstering up its on-air offerings in the Keystone State.

Adjacent to the broadcast tower for Nexstar Media Group's WKRN-2 in Nashville is the transmitter for a FM translator serving Brentwood, Forest Hills and tony Belle Meade, on the south side of Music City USA. Until now, it's been used for Middle Tennessee State University's MTSU Jazz Network. That's about to change, as the facility has been sold.

KZGO, given its market heritage as a religious station, was poised to see a return of the predecessor to "Go" — Christian Adult Contemporary “Praise Live.” This happened, along with the return of the KNOF call letters. As such, EMF, which specializes in its national CCM networks, is selling what is now KNOF-FM in St. Paul.

Travel down U.S. Highway 299 from the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, east of Humboldt County, and you just may spot a broadcast tower on a peak overlooking the Redding, Calif., region. It's home to the transmitter of a Class A Classic Country station that's just been sold.

In the not-too-distant past, Channel 36 in Salem, Ore., and Channel 26 in Portland, Ore., were simulcast partners offering Christian-themed television programming to Oregon's most populous areas. Now, the facility serving the Pacific Northwest's second-largest DMA is being spun. Who it is going to begs the question of how it will now be used.

The owner of a Class A FM radio station serving a rural portion of the Rocky Mountains has agreed to assign this property, along with its four FM translators, to one of Colorado's largest non-commercial licensees. To make it happen, this non-comm operator is trading an AM serving the city of Pueblo, along with its FM translator.

Bay Area entrepreneur Ravi Kapur has emerged in recent months as a buyer of low-power TV stations. He's grabbed another one — this time in the birthplace of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

An AM/FM combo serving a community to the south of Cape Girardeau, Mo., is being sold. The stations air a Country format and offer a simulcast to local listeners.
