It’s a city of roughly 26,000 residents that bills itself as a “first choice for families” and a “great choice for opportunity.” This municipality, which is part of a DMA that includes Bismarck and Minot, N.D., is four hours to the west of Fargo and five hours to the south of Regina, Saskatchewan.
Here, a 100kw Hot Adult Contemporary FM is being sold. It’s a “totally amped” transaction, thanks to the station’s seller.
Totally Amped LLC has agreed to sell KDXN-FM 105.7 in South Heart, N.D., serving the Dickinson, N.D., listening area.
The buyer is GlassWorks Broadcasting, which is paying $200,000 for the FM.
A $40,000 escrow deposit is being held at American Trust Center.
The remaining $160,000 is represented by a Promissory Note bearing interest of 4.5% per annum. Payments are to be made over a 37-month term, at $3,000 per month.
The allocation of the purchase price is $40,000 for tangible personal property, and $100,000 for the FCC license.
Totally Amped is led by Steve Stroud, while the buyer is led by William Glass.
And, both entities share the same Dickinson, N.D., address — that of the radio station.
KDXN is branded as “The Mix” and airs an Adult Hits format that is unique cross-genre.
