The buyer may be tied to Tennessee, but it is seeking FCC approval to own an unbuilt construction permit for a low-power television facility in the city that is home to the University of Florida.

In a deal that's just been consummated and filed for approval with the Commission, Salem Media Group is adding to its properties in Tampa-St. Petersburg by reacquiring a Class B AM radio station in the market. The facility, licensed to Brandon, Fla., will help Salem bring a third radio brand just two years after spinning the stations.

It positions itself as the TV channel "in constant evolution that brings the best of Latin America." Now, this unique offering is poised to welcome viewers in the Coachella Valley of California, thanks to a just-filed transaction awaiting FCC approval.

From April 2018 until July 2020, it had been in a simulcast with WLIR-FM and branded as "Real FM," offering Classic Hits programming. Soon, an FM translator with 10 watts of power covering such Long Island, N.Y., cities as Coram and Medford is set to be come a part of the WNET Public family.

The town of Port Jervis, N.Y., lies at the heart of the "other" Tri-State Area within the vast New York City DMA — New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It is situated along the bucolic Delaware River, and its proximity to fast-growing Sussex County, N.J., is likely why a low-powered TV station licensed to this municipality has just sold for nearly $2 million.

It uses a 250-watt FM translator covering much of the Huntsville, Ala., metropolitan area, even parts of Decatur. Soon, it will no longer be the home of an iHeartMedia "ALT"-branded modern rock presentation relaying broadcasts found on the HD3 signal of Class C2 WQRT-FM "100.3 The River." That's because the FM translator's licensee is selling the facility to Educational Media Foundation.

A digital low-power TV station licensed to Logan, Utah, is poised to leave the NBC Universal family. An agreement, submitted Tuesday with the FCC, shows that its Telemundo O&O arm is agreeing to part ways with the facility. The buyer? A local governmental entity.

The buyer is another broadcast ministry presently serving audiences along New York's Southern Tier, and to the west in the Twin Tiers of Pennsylvania and New York. As such, this deal is a natural growth opportunity for the soon-to-be new owner.

In January 2020, the owner of a Class A FM in rural Kentucky offering listeners an Americana format passed away. Now, the license of the station is formally being passed on to the deceased owner's wife.
