According to an SEC filing made by Urban One, Karen Wishart's first day as a company EVP was Monday, and she's already working with Chief Administrative Officer Linda Vilardo on a successful transfer of her duties to Wishart. Vilardo's last day of employment is Dec. 31, and we now know how much Wishart will earn in 2018.

Some 45 days ago, longtime WABC-7 morning co-anchor Lori Stokes departed the ABC O&O, tearfully saying goodbye after 17 years at the station. It turns out she's far from done as a morning news anchor in the Big Apple: She's just joined FOX's crosstown WNYW-5, where she'll be paired with another veteran NYC anchor.

The E.W. Scripps Co. has selected a new Director of Sales and National Sales Manager for its News/Talk-Country combo in Milwaukee. Concurrently, the GSM for the Country station is adding similar duties for the heritage News/Talker.

A fast-rising sales talent in the Pittsburgh market who recently took on the Director of Sales role for Sinclair Broadcast Group's ABC affiliate in the Charleston-Huntington, W. Va., market has climbed into the GM chair for the station. This talent will also oversee the FOX affiliate in the market, which Sinclair operates via a Time Brokerage Agreement with partner Cunningham Broadcasting.

There is a new VP of U.S. Sales at Electronics Research Inc., and the company's choice to fill the position has two decades of experience in terrestrial broadcasting, mobile television, distributed transmission systems, and FM radio. He was previously the company's Director of Television Sales.

There's a new RVP for Radio, and a new RVP for Television, at Cox Media Group. In a late Monday announcement, the company turned to the head of its four South Florida FMs to take on a greater role for Cox's radio stations across four other markets. Concurrently, a Steel City TV exec is adding four markets to his oversight.

Fox Networks Group (FNG) is growing its Global Solutions team. The arm of 21st Century Fox on Monday appointed a SVP who will be based in Los Angeles, and a VP/Global Solutions for Advertising Sales who will be located in New York.

An iHeartMedia sales veteran who joined predecessor company Clear Channel in May 1998 and has been associated with iHeart's Pittsburgh properties for the last 19 years is relocating to the "Virginia-Carolina Region."

The individual who has served as VP/Sales of Hearst Television since 2014 has just been promoted to SVP/Sales. His resume includes stints for WPIX-11 in New York, WBAL-11 in Baltimore, and the CW affiliate in the Nation's Capital.

Hispanic-market multimedia company Univision Communications has set two new news executives for its San Francisco Bay Area operations. Both report to Raul Rodriguez, Vice President, General Manager of Univision Bay Area; Steve Stuck, Vice President, General Manager of Univision Sacramento & Fresno; and Chris Peña, Senior Vice President of News, Local Media.

The former Director of NTR and LSM of a Pamal Broadcasting Adult Alternative station in "New York's backyard" has joined Cumulus for a role that sees her oversee four properties in a North Carolina market. Salomone has worked for such companies as Townsquare Media and Adams Radio Group.

Cox Media Group has selected its new Market Vice President for its Tulsa station group, and also for its Jacksonville stations. The company says these appointments are part of its "converging markets with multiple media platforms to strengthen news, sales and operational collaboration." Who's in Florida's First Coast? The person running Cox's radio stations in Tulsa until now.

In January, Sinclair Broadcast Group named a new Director of Sales for its three TV stations in Columbus, Ohio. Just nine months later, Sinclair has given birth to a new position for this company vet: oversight for the company's Dayton operation some 90 minutes to the west.

In a statement as to the value of its O&O's local news operations, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations has just promoted the Asst. News Director of KNBC-4 in Los Angeles to the role of President/GM of its two stations in the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose market.
