Bridge News Strikes Again With Carolina LPTV Buy

The all-news broadcast offering transitioning from a digital multicast to an O&O framework has bought another low-power TV property. The station’s city of license? It is a village in Hoke County, N.C.

The Manoj Bhargava-funded Bridge News LLC, parent of the NewsNet channel, is agreeing to purchase WTNG-CD 33 in Rockfish, N.C., in the Fayetteville, N.C. area.

This officially gives NewsNet an owned station in the Raleigh DMA, although the over-the-air signal of WTNG does not travel that far north.

The seller is Mercy’s Bridge Media LLC, which is earning $475,000 from the sale of WTNG.

Serving as escrow agent is The Law Office of Dan J. Alpert.
