Breaking: House majority opposes royalty fees

NAB has now lined up 219 co-sponsors for the Local Radio Freedom Act, which opposes collection of any performance royalty fees from radio stations by record labels and artists. That’s a majority of the US House of Representatives, making it unlikely that any royalty bill will pass Congress this year.
