Exactly three years ago, RBR+TVBR reported on the purchase of a Miami-based digital Class A television facility, which was moving to Channel 17 as part of the FCC’s post-Spectrum Auction repack process, by HC2 Holdings. Kozacko Media Services, representing the seller, had brokered the deal valued at $4 million.
Then came a non-consummation notice with the FCC, leaving the seller back to square one on divesting the South Florida property.
A new deal has just been agreed to.
Prime Time Partners, under licensee name WPMF Miami LLC, hopes the second time is the charm, as it has reached a deal that sees Daystar via licensee name Word of God Fellowship acquire WBEH-CD 38.
Terms were finalized earlier this month, with an asset purchase agreement signed on June 15 and submitted for FCC approval on Thursday (6/23).
Representing the seller this time is Greg Guy of Patrick Communications.
The noncommercial broadcast ministry is paying $3.15 million for the property.
A $157,500 escrow deposit is being held by Patrick.
With the sale by Bob Behar-led PTP, he and José Rodriguez will exit broadcast station ownership.
