Streamline Publishing’s Radio + Television Business Report and Radio Ink are pleased to announce that Gray Media Chief Operating Officer Sandy Breland will serve as Television Co-Chair of Forecast 2027. Now in its 24th year, the annual broadcast and finance leadership summit will be presented on November 12 at the Harvard Club of New York.
As Television Co-Chair, Breland brings a broad background in television that will help define and shape this year’s conference agenda in areas of major importance, especially today. Prior to assuming the role of COO at Gray in 2003, she was Senior Managing Vice President for the broadcasting company, overseeing multiple local TV stations along with Gray’s Washington, D.C., Bureau, a National Investigative Team, and Gray’s in-house Research and Consulting division. Her career also included serving as Group Vice President for Raycom Media before joining Gray through the merger of the two companies.
“I’m honored to serve as Television Co-Chair for Forecast 2027,” said Breland. “Bringing broadcast leaders together will help us tackle shared challenges and explore opportunities to accelerate innovation as our industry evolves, so we can keep serving our communities with trusted local journalism.”
A lifelong journalist by training, Breland began her career in news and went on to serve as News Director in both New Orleans and Phoenix before moving into station leadership roles. Her work has been recognized with multiple journalism honors, including a Peabody and a National Murrow Award for the planning and execution of Hurricane Katrina coverage, RTNDF’s First Amendment Award, and the Society of Professional Journalists’ Sigma Delta Chi Award for public service. In 2025, she received the RTDNA John F. Hogan Distinguished Service Award, recognized for her contributions to journalism, integrity, and local news leadership.

“We are extremely excited for the opportunity to have Sandy as the Television Co-Chair for Forecast 2027,” said Deborah Parenti, RBR+TVBR and Radio Ink President and Publisher. “Her wealth of experience will be invaluable in shaping an agenda that addresses the hurdles and potential that lay ahead for broadcasters. Coupled with Radio Co-Chair and Audacy President/CEO Kelli Turner (pictured, at right), this should be one of the most provocative and fine-tuned Forecast conferences in its 24-year history.”
