“Portlandia” for the radio? Alpha Broadcasting’s FM News 101 (KXL-FM) launches “Beck and Burns” on 3/26. The show will air weeknights 7:00pm- 9:00pm. Byron Beck and Zak Burns will cover the streets of Portland and the world of popular culture. They’re described as stimulating, clever, and “really not impressed with your tattoos. They are the new talk radio that’s not just politics, because neither are you.”
Commenting on new approach, Alpha Director of Programming Scott Mahalick said, “Beck and Burns present an entertaining perspective to the unique side of Portland. The show will reflect the complex and intelligent nature of The Rose City.”
Byron Beck is a celebrity obsessed journalist based in Portland. He asks questions you never would, telling secrets he never should. As one of the most successful radio producers in the country, Zak Burns will be there to provide panache, wit and… to keep Beck out of trouble and on the air.
Listened to Beck & Burns for the last two days,have to say don’t care for their program,will be finding another station to listen to from 7-9!
Wow, this radio show is horrible. I’ve never heard two radio show hosts who are less interesting than these two guys. What a mess…
