They reside in Corona del Mar, Calif., and own a growing group of broadcast television and radio stations in markets such as Zanesville, Ohio, thanks to an April 2022 transaction.

Now, Brian and Patricia Lane are adding a property in Lima, Ohio to the Marquee Broadcasting stable.

An Asset Purchase Agreement filed late Tuesday with the FCC seeks regulatory approval for the acquisition by Marquee of WLMA-TV (formerly WTLW-44) in Lima.

“TV 44” is presently devoted to “sharing Jesus through media,” and that’s likely to change soon thanks to its sale by American Christian Television Services.

A $2 million price has been agreed to, net of a $100,000 brokerage commission to Greg Guy of Patrick Communications.

The WTLW call letters are being kept by ACTS.

Serving as Marquee’s legal counsel in this transaction is Daniel Kirkpatrick of Baker Hostetler LLP. The seller’s legal counsel is Eve Reed of Wiley Rein.

This transaction follows the $10.5 million acquisition from the WHIZ Media Group of WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, and radio properties WHIZ-AM 1240 and W272EE at 102.3 MHz; Class B1 WHIZ-FM at 92.7 MHz, and Class A WZVL-FM at 103.7 MHz.

Marquee also owns television stations in Maryland, South Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia and Tennessee.
