At the start of 2023, the FCC’s Media Bureau received a Petition for Declaratory Ruling filed by the Portland, Ore.-headquartered owner of radio stations such as KXL and “HOT 102.9” in Dayton, Ohio, that would allow it to increase its foreign ownership stake to 100%.
Public comment was gathered by Audio Division Chief Al Shuldiner, and after review the plan submitted by Alpha Media has been given its OK.
