A Quick LMA-To-Buy In Ohio For K-LOVE Parent

0

On November 1, the call letters of a Class B1 FM serving the Columbus, Ohio, market from the southeastern suburb of Baltimore, Ohio, changed along with its programming. “La Grande,” a regional Mexican brand, was no more as Urban One partnered with La Mega Media to expand that Spanish-language audio brand across the Buckeye State. In its place: the K-LOVE Contemporary Christian non-comm network.

Now, just days later, K-LOVE’s parent is agreeing to purchase the facility in a transaction that sees Greg Guy of Tideline Partners LLC serve as its broker.

For $2,060,000, WKVR-FM 102.5 is being sold to Educational Media Foundation (EMF) by Southeastern Ohio Broadcasting.

That company had operated the former WWLG since November 6, 2020. Before that, it was the final broadcast home in the Columbus market for the “CD” Alternative brand.

J. Richard Carr Consulting, Inc., represented the seller as its legal representative. David Oxenford of Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP served as EMF’s legal counsel.
