A New TV Home For Geraldo Rivera

He’s a veteran news commentator and journalist who has worked at FOX News and ABC News. Starting this evening, he’ll now be serving as a correspondent-at-large for the cable TV network owned by Nexstar Media Group.


Geraldo Rivera will be joining NewsNation — and in he’ll appear across the network’s daytime and prime-time programming.

Rivera’s inaugural appearance on NewsNation will be on the February 14 episode of CUOMO, the prime-time program hosted by Chris Cuomo.

NewsNation President of News Michael Corn commented, “Geraldo is a legendary journalist whose talent and experience is unrivaled in the industry. We look forward to him joining the network and providing our viewers with his one-of-a-kind analysis.”

For 23 years, Rivera had been associated with FOX News, and he most recently served as senior correspondent and co-host of the roundtable program The Five at FOX News Media.

At FOX News, Rivera covered major stories, including the Iraq War, the Michael Jackson trial, the Scot Peterson case, and numerous natural disasters including Hurricane Katrina.
Prior to FOX, Rivera worked at ABC News, where he served as an original anchor of “Good Morning America” and as an original senior investigative reporter of the channel’s news magazine “20/20.”

From 1987-1998, Rivera produced and hosted the syndicated talk show “The Geraldo Rivera Show.”

Rivera began his broadcast career at WABC-7 in New York, where he excelled as a reporter.
