It’s a 250-watt facility with a signal covering the state capital of Washington and communities including Skokomish and Shelton. Soon, it will be under the ownership of a new licensee, pending regulatory approval.

K270CJ at 101.9 MHz in Olympia, Wash., is being sold by Northwest Indy Radio to Ephrata Radio.

K270CJ operates from a tower atop Kamilche Peak, giving it coverage of most of Olympia and its surrounding communities due north.

For a $5,000 check, it is set to be owned by Ephrata. The buyer is assuming the tower lease agreement with owner Mason PUD 3.

Signing off on the sale for the seller is Jennifer Reitz. The buyer is led by Jeff Slakey, and the FM translator is expected to be paired with KMAS-AM 1030 in Shelton, adding a second FM translator to that already used at 103.3 MHz.
