News production, playout and workflow technology specialist Bitcentral has completed a transaction separating its broadcast production and playout operations from its streaming technology business, creating two independently operated companies.
The production and playout business retains the Bitcentral name and becomes a standalone company owned by Banyan Software.
The remaining business continues as ViewNexa, focusing on streaming, content distribution, monetization and audience engagement.
Bitcentral Chief Operating Officer Sam Peterson will now serve as CEO of that standalone entity; Sam Kamel will serve as ViewNexa’s CEO; and Scott Alexander will hold the GM role at ViewNexa.
