He leads Cumulus Media‘s radio stations in Oklahoma City, home to five audio brands, and has been the VP/Market Manager in the home of the Thunder since 2015. Now, he’s adding additional responsibilities in a city that’s home to the Air Force Academy.
Adding oversight of the company’s six Colorado Springs stations is Jay Davis, as he becomes a Regional Vice President. He’ll oversee KATC-FM “Cat Country 95.1 FM,” KCSF-AM “Xtra Sports Radio,” Classic Rock KKFM-FM 98.1; Top 40 KKMG-FM “98.9 Magic FM;” Adult Contemporary KKPK-FM “92.9 Peak FM; and spoken word KVOR-AM 740.
He reports to President of Operations Bob Walker, who calls Davis “an accomplished leader and the perfect partner for the team in Colorado Springs. We are eager to see the impact he and the team will continue to have in that community for our listeners and clients.”
Davis commented, “I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Cumulus Colorado Springs team. They have been and remain an established, successful, and meaningful market for Cumulus, with a great and tenured staff. I very much look forward to getting to work there. I feel certain that the best is ahead!”
Davis joined Cumulus Oklahoma City in 1989 as a Sales Representative and was Sales Manager from 1997-2015. He was promoted to Vice President/Market Manager of Cumulus Oklahoma City in 2015.
In OKC, Cumulus Media’s holdings are comprised of Rocker KATT-FM, Adult Hits KKWD “Alice 104.9,” Hot Adult Contemporary KYIS “98.9 Kiss,” and Sports Talker WKY-AM 930.
