A Consent Decree, And Big Check, Resolves FM Translator Rule Flubs

The Acting Chief of the FCC’s Media Bureau has entered into a Consent Decree with the party that agreed to acquire a pair of noncommercial FM translators from a Hispanic evangelical broadcast ministry, paving the way for their respective license renewals.


To accomplish this, however, the U.S. Treasury is receiving a sizable “voluntary contribution” from the FM translators’ buyer.
