Logitek, in partnership with MaxxKonnect, has brought to market a product that is being touted as compact, hardware-based USB audio interface designed to simplify how computers connect to Livewire AoIP networks.
Supporting up to four stereo inputs and ten stereo outputs, along with integrated GPIO and logic control, JetPak is designed to provide a direct bridge between standard USB audio and Livewire environments, minus the need for dedicated software drivers or additional licensing.
Configuration is stored within the device itself, allowing it to move easily between systems while retaining channel mapping and logic, making JetPak ideal for easy deployment and rapid disaster recovery, the company says.
Combining the ease of plug and play USB sound with the security of a physical hardware buffer, JetPak minimizes direct network exposure from host computers, helping improve both system security and operational stability. It’s also small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, notes MaxxKonnect President/CEO Josh Bohn.
He comments, “Corporate network security is a growing concern among broadcasters, especially where AoIP is present. JetPak puts it all to rest by fencing-in Livewire.”
Logitek founder Tag Borland adds, “Its small and easy to use with the added bonus of the user being able to move it from computer to computer.”
