In low-power television circles, Jeff Winemiller is one of the broadcast media sector’s more familiar licensees. He’s bought and sold LPTVs across the last several years, and now he’s agreed to a deal that will deliver, pending FCC approval, four mini-stations to Gray Television.
In a deal agreed to on May 22 and submitted Friday with the FCC for its review, Gray is agreeing to acquire the following LPTVs:
- K27LD-D, Salix, Iowa (FCC FAC ID 185947)
- W25FR-D, Clarksburg, West Virginia (FCC FAC ID 186778)
- W25FX-D, Sutton, West Virginia (FCC FAC ID 186770)
- W34FX-D, Montrose, Georgia (FCC FAC ID 186371)
Winemiller will earn $350,000 from the sale of the stations, which will give Gray TV stations a boost in the Sioux City, Iowa; Clarksburg/Weston, W. Va.; Charleston, W. Va.; and Macon, Ga., DMAs.
