For two decades, he was with Nexstar Media Group, most recently as General Sales Manager of KGET-17 in Bakersfield. Now, he’s across the street at the ABC affiliate owned by The E.W. Scripps Co.

Now Station Manager of KERO-23 is James Galindo. He’ll lead the day-to-day operations and serve as Director of Sales for the station that covers the southern San Joaquin Valley.

“James has a deep understanding of the market – having started his career in Bakersfield in 2000,” said Scripps SVP/Local Media Dean Littleton. “His demonstrated leadership, sales skills and understanding of the market make him a great fit to lead KERO.”

Until taking GSM duties at KGET in November 2017, Galindo spent 14 1/2 years as an account executive. Before joining the TV station, he was an AE at iHeartMedia’s Bakersfield station group.

Galindo’s first professional experience is as a marketing intern for WTOP Radio in Washington, D.C., in 2000.
