For a generation of Southern California radio listeners, the KIQQ call letters were widely known as the home of “K100,” a Top 40 format that would later evolve to a wildly eclectic offering known simply by its call letters.


Then came Format 41 affiliation, ahead of its infamous March 1989 transition to “Pirate Radio” under Westwood One Radio Group ownership.

Who knew that there’s a KIQQ today? The Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council certainly does.
